Explore Counselling was established in 2007 with a view to encouraging people to explore problematic or recurring aspects of their lives at affordable rates. Once understanding their lives in a way that is useful and makes sense, choices can be discovered and decisions made about how best to move forward.
You will be assured of having a safe environment in which we can work together to facilitate change and growth. I will be respectful of whatever is shared, using a counselling process that acknowledges both you as an individual, and the issues you face. I will provide a place to be freely honest and not be judged, where you can gain new perspectives and hope.
My practice is strengths-based, sessions are usually one hour long, and frequency can be negotiated as necessary (usually every 1, 2 or 3 weeks).
I hold a Bachelors Degree of Counselling, and am a Full Member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. I am ACC accredited, hold a Certificate in Tikanga Maori, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision. I am a counsellor for Hauraki PHO, National Hauora Coalition, and EAPWorks.
